The greatest play in NFL history is I am not even sure I would vote this in the top 0 since it was the regular season. stick out among the greatest plays in NFL history since all were in playoffs when it counted Alan Amache's plunge in OT to give the Colts the championship over the Giants, and the Immaculate Reception in 97 with Jacksonville Jaguars Scooby Doo Football Cartoon Mascot Shirt for the win for the Steelers against the Raiders. The improbability of that play is so insane when you look at it from all angles that it has to be at least considered. First of all, the set-up of the entire game… the underdog, road-warrior Giants going up against the 8-0 Patriots going for the perfect season, of which they ran over all the other teams. New England seemed to be the perfectly built team going into the game. Let's face it, putting that Eli Manning is not a "scrambling" QB is putting it lightly. Michael Strahan said it himself that Eli Manning used to trip over his own shoes in practice.
